Tom Brady On Whether He’ll Retire Amid Divorce Rumors

Tom Brady addressed whether he plans to retire (again) after reports that his career has caused a major breakdown in his marriage to Gisele Bündchen.

Rumors mounted this year after Tom suddenly unretired from the NFL only 40 days after stepping away from the sport. Gisele spoke to Elle last month about the “concerns” she’d had about Tom playing again and how she’d had those conversations with him “over and over again.”

“This is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present,” she said. “I have definitely had those conversations with him over and over again. But ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for [them]. He needs to follow his joy, too.”

The whole thing has sparked a bunch of questions about whether Tom would retire again, especially after reports that Gisele had hired a divorce attorney. But Tom says he has no intention of retiring any time soon.

“I love the sport, I love the teammates, and I want to go do a good job for this team like I always have,” he said during a press conference for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. “So, no retirement in my future.”
